| Film Synopsis |
Minutes after Laurie Strode (Curtis), her daughter Karen (Judy Greer) and granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) left masked monster Michael Myers caged and burning in Laurie’s basement, Laurie is rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, believing she finally killed her lifelong tormentor. But when Michael manages to free himself from Laurie’s trap, his ritual bloodbath resumes. As Laurie fights her pain and prepares to defend herself against him, she inspires all of Haddonfield to rise up against their unstoppable monster. The Strode women join a group of other survivors of Michael’s first rampage who decide to take matters into their own hands, forming a vigilante mob that sets out to hunt Michael down, once and for all. Evil dies tonight.

Universal's 2160p/Dolby Vision UHD presentation of 'Halloween Kills' improves on an already excellent Blu-ray in all key areas. There is good separation of character and background with good confident camera movements showcasing it. It’s not the most colorful movie other than the red blood is the primary color the stands out the most. The blacks in the film are deep and inky. Skin tones are natural and consistent from start to finish.

The Dolby Atmos soundtrack is a well-rounded representation of contemporary Slasher film. Dialoge is clean and clear with no issues. There are plenty of good ambient atmospherics built in the rear and side channels in this mix. The Bass is punchy and tight for the death scenes, from impaling, punching, door slamming and more.
