Production begins on ‘QUICKSAND’, Starring Carolina Gaitán and Allan Hawco!

Toronto, March 25, 2022 - Principal photography began this week for the production, ‘QUICKSAND’, directed by Andrés Beltrán (MalaYerba, Tarumama). The film stars Carolina Gaitán (Encanto) and Allan Hawco (Republic of Doyle, Jack Ryan). ‘QUICKSAND’, produced by Sangre Films (Jason Cherubini of Dawn's Light Media, Nicolas Reyes of Elemental Stories and Sean Patrick Burke of 222 Pictures) is shooting in Bogotá, Colombia for 4 weeks. The film was written by Matt Pitts (Westworld) and executive produced by Richard Switzer, Martin Ramos, John Harris and Kris Meyer.
About the film: A married couple on the brink of divorce become trapped in quicksand while hiking through a Colombian rainforest. It's a struggle for survival as they battle the elements of the jungle and must work together in order to escape.
Gaitán will be taking the stage at this year's Academy Awards to perform the global hit “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” with her cast of Disney’s Encanto. Prior to Encanto, Gaitán was seen in Pantaya’s Malayerba and is best known for her roles in the hit series Juanpis Gonzalez, Sin Senos No Hay Paraiso and Narcos.
