TIFF 2019 selection TAMMY'S ALWAYS DYING to be released on Digital and On Demand on May 1st

Amy Jo Johnson's dramedy "TAMMY'S ALWAYS DYING" starring Felicity Huffman, will be released by Aqute Media for rental and purchase On Demand and Digital across Canada on May 1, 2020. It will be available on the following Canadian platforms: Rogers, Bell, Telus, Shaw, Sasktel, Cogeco, iTunes, Sony Playstation, MTS, Microsoft Video and Google Sony.
The film is directed by Amy Jo Johnson and also stars Anastasia Phillips (Reign), Clark Johnson (Bosch), Lauren Holly (Designated Survivor), Aaron Ashmore (Locke & Key), and Kristian Bruun (Orphan Black). The film is produced by Jessica Adams and Harry Cherniak, who previously teamed up on Astronaut starring Richard Dreyfuss.
“Tammy's Always Dying,” recently premiered at the 2019 Toronto Film Festival, and is a dark comedy based on a script by Joanne Sarazen. Huffman portrays Tammy, a charismatic, yet self-destructive mother to 35-year-old Catherine, played by Phillips, whose role as a caregiver changes when Tammy is diagnosed with terminal cancer. Catherine eventually recruits a talk show agent to help profit from her mother's miserable life story. But as Tammy's death becomes her daughter's only way out, one problem stands in her way: Tammy just won't die.
