PULP: WHAT DO YOU DO FOR AN ENCORE?

A FILM BY GARTH JENNINGS

NARRATED BY JARVIS COCKER

ONE-NIGHT-ONLY PREVIEWS COMING TO CANADIAN THEATRES WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 23

Thursday, July 23, 2026 – MUBI, the global distributor, streaming service and production company, premieres the new teaser trailer and exclusive poster artwork for the release of Garth Jennings’ upcoming film PULP: WHAT DO YOU DO FOR AN ENCORE?

It is also announced that the film will preview for one night only in Canadian theatres on September 23, 2026, UK and Irish cinemas on September 18 and US theatres on September 24.

PULP: What Do You Do For An Encore? is a celebration of one of Britain's most unusual bands, captured during their triumphant 2025 tour. Directed by longtime collaborator Garth Jennings and narrated by PULP frontman, Jarvis Cocker, the film weaves together footage from their ingenious live show with four decades of never-before-seen archival material, charting the band’s circuitous journey from Sheffield outsiders to unlikely cultural icons.

Featuring twenty songs spanning the course of their career, PULP: What Do You Do For An Encore? is a tribute to a band of misfits whose sharp social commentary, sarcastic yet sincere wit, and enduring empathy with their audience continue to resonate across generations.

PULP: What Do You Do For An Encore? is a MUBI Production directed by Garth Jennings and edited by Barney Pilling (The Grand Budapest Hotel, Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris).

The film is produced by Octavia Peissel (Asteroid City, The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar) for Opal Films, Danny Gabai and Amy Rattray for VICE Studios, and Paul Dugdale. Executive producers are Stuart Goldstein, Tom Healy and Rosie Taylor (VICE Studios); Harper Simon and Mark Sainsbury; Jarvis Cocker and Jeanette Lee.
