CANADIAN SCREEN AWARD–NOMINATED 'THERE' THERE' COMES TO VOD MAY 26

Toronto, May 26, 2026—There, There, the Canadian Screen Award–nominated drama from East Coast filmmaker Heather Young, arrives on VOD and digital platforms today, May 26. The film earned multiple Canadian Screen Award nominations, including:
Performance in a Supporting Role, Drama: Katie Mattatall
Performance in a Leading Role, Drama: Marlene Jewell
Achievement in Cinematography (presented by the Paul Bronfman Foundation): Catherine Lutes
Achievement in Direction: Heather Young
The Canadian Screen Awards will be presented during Canadian Screen Week, running May 27 to May 31, 2026.
Written, directed, edited, and produced by Young, There, There tells the story of Ruth, a dementia-stricken elder, and Shannon, her young pregnant caregiver, as they navigate life’s challenges and find unexpected solace in one another.
“I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who was part of this film, the nominees, Katie, Marlene, Catherine, and the entire team who helped bring it to life,” said Heather Young. “With its upcoming release on VOD and digital, coinciding with the Canadian Screen Awards, I hope more audiences across the country will have the opportunity to discover it.”
The film stars Marlene Jewell and Katie Mattatall, and is produced by Young alongside Britt Kerr and Martha Cooley, with production by Brass Door and Marjorie & Houseplant.
There, There is distributed by H264 and Game Theory. There, There premiered at the 2024 Vancouver International Film Festival and screened at the St. John’s International Women’s Film Festival and Festival du Nouveau Cinéma, before its theatrical release in November 2025.
